Based on A Song of Ice and Fire series of novels. The first novel was called A Game of Thrones.

Some people might recognize some names. Sean Bean from Lord of the Rings, Mark Addy from the Full Monty, Lena Headey from 300 and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Jason Momoa from Stargate Atlantis (as Ronon Dex).

I was impressed with the awesome landscape and cinema photography. The story is very driven by the characters, drama and brutal reality of the time period. Any fan of medieval fantasy should at least watch the first 3 episodes. The third episode isn't up yet but I have to watch it. I haven't read the books but I'm intrigued by this whole concept.

You're welcome Rani. Episode 3 is up. I'll probably get around to watching it later this week as well. Why do we have to be so busy? Plus I have to watch so many other shows. :wacko:

This is a pretty violent show - "brutal reality of the time period" you weren't kidding I barely made it through the first 15 minutes of episode one, but, it's also really good.

this show rocks, reminds me a little of spartacus except different settings ects, sean bean is a good actor, i saw him when he was filming silent hill. I hate that little blonde fuck that got the wolf killed... my fav animal

I really liked this show! Really great acting.

@crazywolf thank you for letting us know about it's "brutal reality of the time period" like moxie I almost turned it off during the first part of the first episode but I stayed with it since you said it was worth a watch and I'm glad I did.

So this is for sure one of the best shows I have watched. Such a deep storyline and nice twists, take a rip off the bong and this show is a triiip. Plus after this weeks episode The pointy End, things are starting to get really interesting, incident at night watch? whitewalkers are coming
