Definitely not your daddy's Teen Wolf. This Teen Wolf has a serious and dramatic approach that seems to be popular on supernatural TV these past few years. Tyler Posey plays Scott McCall as the teenage werewolf.

Movie fans who saw Maid in Manhattan (2002) should remember him as the 11 year old actor who played JLo's son. Teen Wolf will be a TV series on MTV of all places that will premiere on 6/5/2011 after the MTV awards. Here's a link to the trailer. Teen Wolf preview

If anyone saw my original signature, they might figure correctly that the werewolf is my favorite monster. FOX's Werewolf TV series that was cancelled in 1988 was my favorite show and I have been waiting for another werewolf series. I liked this syndicated TV series in 1990 called She-Wolf of London that was cool but not enough to be a favorite though.

While I hoped for another werewolf series, I've mostly settled for the werewolf appearances on various shows. They tend to get somewhat soap opera-ish for my tastes but still good stories. I hope the first episode gets leaked soon like they did with True Blood (created a lot of buzz before it aired).
